Michel Blake

Fine artist

I  have titled my three pieces after the poem’s main themes, Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow.  Yesterday the structure seemed to be holding, Today it is crumbling.  Tomorrow is green and still holds hope for our planet, though who knows if human beings will be here to see that renewal.

I use a technique of layering gouache and Indian ink, which is then dried and washed. The gouache stains the recycled rag paper but the ink grips it unpredictably and dries to a shine.
