I chose to convey my interpretation of the poem, as a whole. The feather represents natural flora and fauna - and being white, it’s pure, unspoilt and virginal. A white feather, of course, holds other significant symbolic value, too.  I chose to include the words, as a backdrop, as art too is at risk from the dark swamping effects of fossil filth. Even messages of caution and hope can be polluted.
